Business Centre Floor Refurbishment

A local business centre which operates 24hours a day, contracted us to remove the old mis-matched floor and replace to improve the appearance of the centre and provide a safe and hygienic environment for the business tenants.

We started by removing the old flooring system using our floor scabbler machines (Von Arx). This removed the old coatings and screed to leave the concrete surface ready for preparation using our floor grinders.

Once preparation had been completed, we installed the new Epoxy floor Coating using Solvent Free High Build Epoxy coating (Colour RAL 7042). We applied a two coat system to all areas.

The finishing touches:

We the used Epoxy Line Marking Paint to install yellow demarcations to the stairs and ramps to improve safety by ensuring these hazards are highlighted.

Our client had installed adjustable rigging onto a recently installed floor coating system done by our us. They required each location for the set up of the rigging to be easily identifiable to assist staff in setting up correctly. 

Using Epoxy Line Marking Paint we marked out the 32 sections using masking tape. Each set up was then completed with its allocated colour.

Production Area Floor - Refurbishment - Using Epoxy Solvent Free Coating

 

Factory Production Area - Refurbished by Floor Painters Limited - Using Solvent Free Epoxy Coating. 

The Area was an Epoxy screed with many demarcation lines applied. Due to a change in the areas usage these needed to be removed. The area also had some damage which required to be repaired due to being a health & Safety risk.

The Project Area

Preparation & Repairs

The area was prepared by diamond grinding and all repairs where cut square to remove any lose edges.

All repairs where then carried out using an Epoxy resin screed to match the existing floor depth.

Installation of New Epoxy Coating system with slip resistant profile.

A two coat system was then applied to the prepared area. Aggregate was applied to the 1st coat to provide a uniformed slip resistant profile before a top coat of Solvent free epoxy coating was applied so seal in the aggregate. Yellow demarcation lines where install around the road way and perimeter to clearly identify the work area. Leaving our client with a brand new work area suitable for its new usage.
