Domestic Garage - Decorative Epoxy Coating System
We where contacted by a client who had a double garage. The floor had previously been painted with DIY epoxy floor paint and the finish was to a low standard. The client wanted a floor he could be proud to show off to his friends and use on a daily basis.
Solving the water ingress issues during heavy rain.
During heavy rain water would enter the garage due to the floor sloping inwards slightly. We started by preparing 500mm from the front of the garage and installing a new screed falling outwards to prevent future water ingress.
Stage 2: Preparation, repairs and installation.
The remainder of the garage floor was the prepared using small HTC Floor Grinder to remove the old coating and to prepare the slab ready for the application of the Solvent free high build epoxy coating to which a broadcast blend of decorative quartz was applied.
Stage 3: Application of Sealer coat.
The final stage was remove the excess aggregate and application of two coats of Epoxy clear sealer to lock in the decorative aggregate.
